In other words, when this blog gets popular, remember that this is probably the absolute worst example, outwardly, to follow about how to make a blog popular. Since it’s not a business to business blog, or really, a business blog at all, the model that makes it successful has absolutely nothing to do with what is on this site.
Website promotion was my business at the time I started this blog, and I’m officially retiring from consulting on 8.8.08. For those of you who don’t know that when you get here, this is the reason I feel it is necessary to state what should be obvious - my personal blog is the wrong place to learn my traffic secrets.
So what rule am I going to follow?
The only one I think that really counts.
I entertain. I’ll have controversial, sentimental, techie, green and occasionally borderline political things to say here. You can love me or laugh at me.One thing though.
Unless debate is healthy and respectful, I consider other people’s views a waste of my time. 
If I simply answer your chatter with an HL Mencken quote, you can’t say I didn’t warn you.

Oh. And though I’ve been toning it down a bit due to the clutter it can leave on my consciousness, occasionally reading this blog will leave you option to random strings of ridiculously literate profanity. Probably only once or twice a month but you are forewarned…
